If farm raised Atlantic Salmon is your preference, we carry it year ‘round. Our source is North Coast Seafood which imports farm raised salmon from all points on the globe, mostly Newfoundland and New Brunswick. North Coast Seafood uses only well established sustainable fisheries. As different species of Wild Caught salmon become available during predetermined fishing seasons, Palmer’s Direct To You Market offers a varied selection of this migratory fish; Wild Coho, Copper River, Sockeye, and Wild King. These fish are ultra-rich in omega 3 oils, making them both heart healthy and delicious!

Why would you cook a whole fresh fish? The same reason you’d cook a whole chicken, it tastes juicier and more flavorful. We offer several different varieties of whole or “head-on” fish each day. Of course, we will skin, scale, fillet or steak the fish to your liking. And if you don’t see what your looking for, just ask! We can usually get it for you if it is in season and available. Palmer’s Direct To You Market receives North Coast Fresh Fish daily from Boston and once a week from a variety of other fisheries. From Haddock, Tilapia and Cod fillets to large fish including Sword, Tuna, Halibut and many others can all be cut to your order. Wild caught shrimp is prized for its firm texture and robust flavor that is more complex than its farm raised cousin. Palmer’s carries wild caught shrimp fished from several tropical regions including the Florida Keys and the South Western Gulf of Mexico. Usually white shrimp, brown shrimp and pink shrimp are wild caught. Most of the farm raised shrimp we carry comes from the numerous shrimp farms in the South China Sea. For the crab lovers in your family Palmer’s offers the true “king of crab” Red King Crab Legs, considered to be the best tasting crab in the world. The meat is snow-white with highlights of bright red and without a lot of fuss they make a terrific appetizer or the main event at any dinner. Bring home some Red King Crab Legs and get crackin’ on this succulent tasty treat. We also carry a delicious offering of snow crab legs. These snow crab legs are smaller in comparison to the king crab, but still sweet and satisfying! Jumbo lump crabmeat comes from the hind leg area of the Blue Claw Crab. These are the large chunks of crab meat that are perfect for recipes that call for crab. Palmer’s carries several varieties of fresh pasteurized Blue Crabmeat including Lump, Special meat and claw meat. If you are looking for a great crab recipe for your next party or family get together be sure to ask.

A Rochester summertime and fall favorite are Little Neck clams. We start stocking them beginning around Independence Day and through September even into October. Even though we take orders for other sizes including Middle Necks, Top Necks, Cherrystones, Chowders and Mahoganies, the Little Necks are by far the most popular. Aw shucks, nothing compares to a fresh oyster from Palmer’s! We mainly offer Native East Coast oysters which tend to be milder than those farmed from the West Coast, although their taste and texture will vary some with location. Always succulent and meaty, Palmer’s fresh oyster supply varies based on seasonality and availability but rest assured, the only way to get a fresher oyster is to catch it yourself.

Palmer’s carries natural "Dry" Sea Scallops that are shucked on board the Scallop boats and packed in special cloth bags. These Dry Sea Scallops are not treated with any chemical additives nor are they soaked in water to retain additional weight. As a result you get a medium firm texture and a sweet flavor with no preservatives! Enjoy the all natural taste of our scallops for that special party appetizer or sea faring dinner.
